My work is dedicated to the study, making, restoration and conservation of historical plucked musical instruments.

 

Through the direct examination of original instruments, I study their construction, history and relationship with music. This knowledge informs my decisions, both when making new instruments and when restoring and conserving existing ones.

 

This research leads to two distinct paths: the making of new interpretations of a historically informed sound, and the restoration and conservation of existing instruments.
